Beyond the Headline:
I’m a reporter dedicated to speaking the truth, advocating for change and embracing a unified sense of selfhood: one that is rational, empathetic, and authentic.
Be overflowing with empathy, so much so that your cup spills over, pouring water into the empty cup beside you.
Hi! I’m Nat.
I’m a writer and journalist located in the Bay Area. Having recently moved from the Central Valley, I’m on a journey of rediscovery and self-orientation. As a writer, I’m working to find a certain mesh between feelings of infinity and growing within, and I hope to broaden this exploration of the human experience at UC Berkeley School of Journalism.
As a sports reporter for Oakland North I’ve covered stories ranging from Oakland Ballers’ fans rallying for a historic win to Mexican soccer fans gathering outside the Coliseum despite federal immigration fears…
I feel pulled to be a reporter because I actively put myself in vulnerable positions to pursue the truth. Through my writing, I aim to underscore the idea that story telling connects us to wider experiences. I’ve always believed that different voices can have the power to enhance sense by a million and I’m dedicated to continue exploring in higher education and beyond.
